The list of entertainment is almost endless and the awesome line-up of live entertainment is going to keep feet tapping Ayoba style to the hottest sounds at Montecasino. One of South Africa’s most well-known and best-loved music stars, PJ Powers or Thandeka (meaning the loved one) will bring back memories as she performs some of her greatest hits, including Jabulani, Feel So Strong and World in Union on the MTN Stage (located inside the Montecasino complex across from Skoobs – Theatre of Books) on Saturday, 12 November 2011. The show starts at 20:00 and is a free performance.
Next up is a treat for fans of the electronic duo Goldfish who play a genre-defying mix of live instruments, house beats and a searing live 3D performance at The Teatro, Montecasino on 25 November 2011, brought to you by LG Electronics and 94.7 Highveld. After six weeks 42 days of non-stop entertainment, the Ayoba Festival at Montecasino will draw to a close with a sensational concert billed “Piazza Rocks” on 03rd December 2011 from 14h00 to 22h30. Presented by MK and Tuks FM in association with Hilltop Live, the awesome line-up features some of the best local bands including SAMA and MTV Award winners, Zebra & Giraffe; double-gold status rock and pop group, Die Heuwels Fantasties; international and local touring musician, Farryl Purkiss; edgy pop duo, The Arrows; the ever popular double Top 10 hit band, The Graeme Watkins Project; trendy trio and MK number one chart toppers, Southern Gypsey Queen; alternative rock band, Kinky Robot and the new up and coming melodic rock band, The Newspapers. For music lovers who prefer classical music, the MTN Classic FM Soiree takes place at the Ayoba Festival on the 20th November in the Montecasino Ballroom. Piano man Charl du Plessis presents a unique programme entitled “Pimp my Piano” which blends the worlds of classical music with its romantic melodies and well-known favourites to meet fact to face with the cool rhythms of rock, pop, blues and jazz. The programme includes works by Beethoven, Mozart, Debussy and even Lady Gaga. Experience the best local talent up close in an intimate setting for an evening of beautiful music coupled with a three-course gastronomic experience and fine wine. The MTN Classic Soiree experience is the epitome of class and sophistication. Classic music has inspired more musicians than any other type of music and the MTN Classic FM Soiree extends the diversity of musical genres at the Ayoba Festival. Music, comedy and song celebrates women and “the change” in Menopause the Musical on stage at Pieter Toerien’s Main Theatre from 11 November. Hot flashes, night sweats, memory loss, chocolate binges, not enough sex, too much sex and more are delightfully portrayed in this joyful parody including 25 re-lyricised classic baby boomer hits with sterling performances by Judy Ditchfield, Brenda Radloff, Kate Normington and Ntambo Rapatla.
To keep kiddies entertained, the wonderful, much loved Beautiful Creatures characters come to life again in a full stage production at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre this summer. Currently on stage at Pieter Toerien’s Studio Theatre until 13 November, Porralicous is the biggest romantic comedy that has ever been told-by one woman... about the Portuguese. Finely sketching all of her characters Esgueira portrays three generations of a Portuguese family with immense love and consummate skill, ending off an uber successful
trilogy of one-woman shows that have toured nationwide for 6 years.
Following Porralicious at Pieter Toerien’s Studio Theatre is the hilarious comedy, My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish & I’m in Therapy. Laugh like never before at the zany characters that surround an Italian-Jewish family.

Visiting international comedians, Toby Muresianu from the USA, Brian Higgins from the UK and Jacques Barrat from Australia will add international wit to the colourful line-up of local comics.
Continuing with international visiting comics, The Black Tie Comedy Tour features the funniest All-American stand-up cast to ever share a stage anywhere in South Africa.
