The Bird Gardens also has the largest and most diverse private collection of South African Cycads in the world, with over 750 plants from 37 different species including one of the oldest surviving plants, Encephalartos middelburgensis, estimated to be over 2500 years old.

You can feed our tame, brightly coloured Rainbow Lorikeets in the Lorikeet Aviary. Don't forget to buy your nectar from the ticket office.
