On offer is No limit Texas Hold'em Poker, said to be one of the most exciting forms of poker. In No Limit Texas Hold'em, the house merely provides a service to facilitate the game, players play against each other.
Tables on offer are R 5 - R 10, R 10 - R 25 - R 50, R 50 - R 100 and a rake cap of R 150. Tables are open from14h00 till 06h00 daily.
Stud Poker at Montecasino
In the Salon Prive we also offer a Stud poker table. In this variation of Poker players only play against the dealer head to head. The dealer shows all players one of their cards and if you think that your cards are better than the dealers you can double your bet. The better your hand the more you get paid.
Poker Hand Values
Standard Poker hand values are listed in descending order. A Royal Flush is the Best Hand.
Royal Flush
This is the best hand you can have in poker. Cards of all the same suit, and in order, from 10, up to Ace. For example: All Spades - Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10.
Straight Flush
5 cards of the same suit in running order, the higher the run of cards goes up to the better the hand is. For example: All Hearts - 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack.
Four of a Kind
Any four cards of a kind. The higher value set of 4 cards would win. For example: 4 Kings would beat 4 Queens.
Full House
Three of one, Two of the other. For example: 3 Jacks, 2 Fives or 2 Threes and 3 Fours.
Flush
Any 5 cards of the same suit. If more than one person has a flush it goes to highest card, A Queen King or Ace would beat a Jack flush. Example: All Hearts - 3, 4, 5, 9, 10.
Straight
5 cards all in a run, but not of the same suit, once again the highest card of the run decides who has the better hand. Example: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
Three of a kind
3 cards of the same value. The higher the set of 3 cards the better the hand is with three Aces been the best. Example: 10, 10, 10.
Two pairs
Two pairs of cards. The highest pair wins and if more than one player has the same cards the highest card left over determines the winner. Example: 2, 2, 4, 4.
One Pair
In Let it Ride Poker, to have a winning hand a pair must be 10s or higher to win. Example: 10, 10 or J, J or Q, Q or K, K or A, A.
