The Basics of Let it Ride Poker
In Let it Ride Poker, basic poker hands apply, with one exception: a pair must consist of 10s or higher. Your hand is based on the three cards that are dealt to you, and the dealers' two community cards.
To start the game, the minimum table bet must be placed on each of the circles on the table. The circles will be labelled 1, 2, and R. If the table minimum is R25, your initial bet will be R75.
You are then dealt three cards face down, and the dealer receives two cards that he places face down in front of him. You may then pick up your cards and look at them, but need to keep them in full view of the dealer at all times and you are not permitted to show your cards to other players.
Once you take a look at your three cards, you need to decide whether you will make a good hand with the three cards you have, and the dealers' community cards. Place your cards back on the table and the dealer will ask you if you want to Let it Ride.
If you think your cards will make a winning hand, tell the dealer you want to 'Let it Ride' and the dealer will leave your bets and move on to the next player. If you don't think you will make a 'pair of tens or better' then lightly scratch the table and the dealer will return one of your bets to yo. After all decisions are made, on this first cycle, the dealer will then turn over one of his cards. This now gives you the chance to re-evaluate your cards. If you still think you won't make a decent hand scratch the table again, when asked, and the dealer will return your second bet (2 circle) to you.
After the second decision is made and the final (5th) card is exposed the dealer will, in turn, expose each players' cards and pay or take according to the displayed pay table. A Bonus Bet is also available, to be placed prior to cards being dealt and if you get a Royal Flush you will be paid 20 000 to 1.
If you happen to have a winning hand in your first three cards, (for example - a minimum of one pair of tens or a three of a kind), you can immediately place your cards on the table and Let it Ride knowing that you have already won.
