Bidvest World Chefs Tour Against Hunger
FUNDRAISING TO FEED SOUTH AFRICA’S CHILDREN
In a bid to raise money for the plight of hungry children in South Africa, Montecasino in partnership with Bidvest, Southern Sun and a few other sponsors is teaming up with the Global Chefs fraternity. Up to 200 chefs from around the world will be coming to South Africa to cook up a storm for charity.
The Montecasino Piazza will be hosting live cooking demonstrations with these international chefs that you can come and witness. And yes, you’ll be able to taste the food too!
The live cooking extravaganza will take place at the Montecasino Piazza from the 24th – 27th August 2011. So come join us for some great food demonstrations from some of the world’s greatest chefs.
You can also do your bit to contribute to the Bidvest World Chefs Tour Against Hunger trust fund by doing either of 2 things:
• Entrance to cooking demonstrations is free, but visitors will be encouraged to purchase a chef’s hat for R10 and…
• Donate any non-perishable food items.
All proceeds will go the Bidvest World Chefs Tour Against Hunger Trust Fund which will feed children from chosen charities including the Akani Diepsloot Foundation, for the next five years.
In addition to our cooking demos, the Southern Sun Hotels group will also be hosting food festival and cooking demos at some of their properties from the 23rd – 27th August.

Demonstrations
Take place daily from 12:30 pm to 13:15 pm, from 14:00 pm to 14:45 pm, from 15:30 pm to 16:15 pm, from 17:00 pm to 17:45 pm and from 18:30 to 19:15, with a lineup that includes demonstration of culinary delicacies from Sweden, Denmark, Australia, Wales and Malta, plus exquisite pastry creations.
