About Brian Temba
Well-known and respected for this starring role in Disney's West End Musical "The Lion King", Brian performed the role of Simba to packed audiences six nights a week at the Lyceum Theatre in London and has just returned from London where he has lived for the past five years, having been based in Los Angeles (California, USA) prior to that where he worked as as ensemble member of the original Lion King cast.
South African born, Brian is a talented singer, musician, actor, producer, composer, MC and entertainer, originally from Soshanguve in Pretoria (Tswane) who has had the opportunity to appear on one of Americas most famous talk shows, The Jay Leno show, as well as shared the stage with famous RnB musicians such as Tyrese Gibson.
Brian began his music career as a backing singer for industry greats such as Hugh Masekela, Jonathan Butler and Vicky Vilakazi, and has formed a part of trailblazing groups like Joyous Celebration, Family Factory and IV U (For You).
He has starred in "Lion and the Lamb", a musical play directed by John Kani; as well as in a short film based on the 'Don't Trigger Campaign' - which raised awareness of the rising knife and gun crime in England - called 'Hip Hop Opera', and has been involved in various soundtracks locally and internationally for movies such as Pride (starring Terrance Howard and Bernie Mac), Tears of the Sun (starring Bruce Willis) and an Irish production called Highway Freedom.
