The most important restaurant, food and drink event in Joburg is back!
If you love food, then Taste of Joburg 2011 is the perfect occasion to sample signature dishes freshly prepared by highly acclaimed chefs whilst exploring specialist culinary delights, sampling premium beverages and enjoying a fabulous programme of music and entertainment.
Now celebrating its fifth year, Taste of Joburg has become Gauteng’s most innovative and exciting food festival.
Happening from the 15th – 18th September at the Montecasino Outdoor Event Area, this year’s festival celebrates 5 years of Taste and is set to rival all others.
Restaurants Include
Fourteen of Joburg’s top restaurants, including DW Eleven -13, The Saxon, Piccolo Mondo at The Michelangelo Hotel, La Belle Terrasse at The Westcliff, Oliva Bar & Restaurant and Sel et Poivre & La Petit Sel (to name but a few) will join together to serve their fabulous, trend-setting signature dishes that have made them so popular with foodies and critics alike. The impressive list of participating restaurants, award-winning wineries, premium drinks brands and extraordinary exhibitors will guarantee that there will be something sensational on offer to appeal to every palate and taste.

Taste of Joburg CROWNS – How they work: CROWNS, the festival currency, can be bought at the festival using cash or credit card. Guests use them to buy sample dishes from restaurants or drinks from exhibitors and bars. CROWNS can be bought from the Taste Bank or from roaming Crown Sellers. Each Taste of Joburg CROWN is worth R5 and prices range from 4 to 8 CROWNS per dish. Change is offered in CROWNS only.
