If you’re a connoisseur of fine wine, or even if you just enjoy a glass or two in your relaxation time, then make a date of the 12th and 13th May. The Wade Bales Wine Festival is an open air wine festival that will take place in the Montecasino Piazza.

50 of South Africa’s premier wine estates will be on site showcasing their best red and white wines and you will be treated to sampling and tasting these flagship products. Some of the estates are Rustenberg, Klein Constantia, Bouchard Finlayson, Cape Point Vineyards and Ernie Els to name a few.

The Wade Bales Wine Festival will allow visitors the chance to meet the various winemakers; taste their top-end wines and learn about the latest trends in winemaking - in a sophisticated and stylish setting. The festival, now at Montecasino for the 2nd time also boasts a few ‘new discoveries’ such as Creation and Ataraxia wine estates. If the success of the 2010 Wade Bales Wine Festival is anything to go by – then we’re sure that this year’s Festival will be even more enjoyable to our visitors.

The Wade Bales Wine Festival runs over two consecutive evenings:

Tickets cost R150 and include a wine glass and vouchers to purchase a cheese platter. Tickets are limited to 750 people per day and are available from Computicket.com  or directly from the Wade Bales Wine Society.
