Porralicious

The biggest romantic comedy that has ever been told-by one  woman... about the Portuguese. Finely sketching all of her characters Esgueira portrays  three generations of a Portuguese family with immense love and consummate skill, ending off an uber successful
trilogy of one woman shows that have toured nationwide for 6 years.

PorraLicious delves into one Immigrant family's search for Love, Life and Meaning in our crime ridden South Africa. From robbing the shop and making babies, to lying to your mother, the priest and the neighbors, PorraLicious begs the question - how far would you go for the one you love?

Revealing what really goes on behind closed doors and airing all the dirty laundry for the neighbors to see, this hysterical and poignant comedy has been unifying  cultures around S.A for 6 years now and showing us how,  ultimately, we are all "same same... but different".

Ultimately it is a story about love- the love that each one searches for in a lifetime and the disappointments and victories we encounter along the way.

Newly directed by the multi award winning duo, Helen Iskander and James Cuningham, from "Baobabs Don't Grow There" and Sylvaine Strikes, "Black and Blue", this version of PorraLicous promises to be a magical feast of laughter and tears for our South African audiences.
