Your safety is our priority.
In the best interest of our Theatre lovers, as well as the Swan Lake production crew, The St Petersburg Ballet Theatre’s Swan Lake performances have been postponed for July 2022, given the continuing government imposed restrictions on gatherings and entertainment venues.
The Teatro at Montecasino, the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra, Computicket, and the Swan Lake production team in Johannesburg are grateful for your support during these extraordinary times. It is this support that has allowed the St Petersburg Ballet Theatre to safely return to your shores in July 2022.

What to do next?
Purchased tickets will automatically be transferred to the new dates. The Teatro has carefully planned the new dates so that guests can still have the same seating arrangements, on the same day of the week, and at the same performance time.
Why the change in date to July 2022?
It is going to take some time before large-scale live performances can safely, and confidently, return and we certainly did not want to re-schedule our Swan Lake season to later in 2021 only to find we needed to change the dates again.
Options Available to You
We understand that everyone’s circumstance is different and have put together the five options below for you to select from to finalise your return.
Please note that if we haven’t heard from you before Wednesday 31 March 2021, your tickets will be automatically transferred to the new dates. Please note that we can only assist with tickets purchased through the authorised ticket seller Computicket.
Option 1: Accept the new dates.
Your tickets will be transferred to the new dates as outlined in the table above. Computicket will email you your new tickets in 3 – 7 working days and we look forward to seeing you at the ballet.
Option 2: Select alternative dates
We understand that you may be unable to make the new date, however, we would be more than willing to transfer your tickets to seats for a different performance in the same price category (subject to availability).
Option 3: Donate to the St Petersburg Ballet Theatre Dancers’ Fund
Like so many, the events of the last 12 months have caused significant hardship for the dancers of St Petersburg Ballet Theatre. As we begin to recover from the longer-term effects of these events, your support has never been more critical. Please consider donating your ticket funds to the St Petersburg Ballet Theatre Dancers’. Your generosity will make it possible for us to continue to spread wonder and joy through world-leading artistry.
Option 4: Donate your tickets to charity
If you are unable to attend the new dates, why not donate your tickets and give a once in a lifetime opportunity to our fellow South Africans who have never been to the ballet? Working with our charity partners, we can arrange to donate your tickets to underprivileged South Africans who would absolutely treasure this unique opportunity.
Option 5: Return your tickets
Should none of the options above suit you, you can apply for a refund. We are truly sorry that you will miss this magnificent season of Russian classical ballet by the St Petersburg Ballet Theatre, and sincerely hope that you are able to re-purchase tickets closer to the season. Applications for a refund must be made before Wednesday 31 March 2021.
Anything else you need to know?
Please understand that given the extraordinary circumstances the Computicket team is incredibly busy at this time and delays in correspondence may occur, but rest assured your query will be noted and Computicket will respond.
Again we wish to thank you for your patience, support, and compassion, while we navigate this changing environment and we look forward to seeing you at The St Petersburg Ballet Theatre’s Swan Lake.
For additional ticketing information contact Computicket on firstname.lastname@example.org or 081 915 8000.
That’s it for now, but if anything else comes up, we’ll be in touch.
