Changes underway at Montecasino

Exciting changes are underway at Montecasino! With Spring around the corner.

It’s out with the old and in with the new – in the form of a variety of new restaurants across the length of Gauteng’s premier entertainment destination.

“At Montecasino we’re all about keeping things fresh and new – and that applies to our restaurants and stores as much as to our entertainment offering, events, theatre productions, festivals and gaming promotions,” says Mike Page, newly appointed General Manager of Montecasino. “So while it make look like a building site for a few weeks, it’s all in the name of renewal and reinvention.”

Some of the new restaurants that have been selected to add to the variety and appeal of the existing restaurant offerings include Hassar Grill, an upmarket steakhouse that will take up a prime position on the Piazza; Wasabi, a fusion Oriental restaurant currently taking up occupancy alongside Beira Alta; Casa Bela, an Italian restaurant moving in opposite Skoobs; and La Rosa Mexican Grille and Tequileria soon to open opposite the Pieter Toerien Theatre. On the fast food and casual dining front, Nando’s, a hot favourite among chicken lovers, is moving in, while Ocean Basket moves out of the food court and onto the Piazza. The Meat Company is also undergoing a refurb, adding to the mix of revamped restaurants.

“We’re extremely excited about our new restaurant offerings, which really complement the existing mix within the Montecasino precinct. We apologise for the inconvenience during this period of changing over these facilities and look forward to bringing them to life over the next eight weeks,” says Page.
